first_img Arouna Kone in action for Everton 1 Everton have no interest in sending striker Arouna Kone back to Levante to rediscover his fitness and form, according to reports in SpainThe 30-year-old almost made his comeback against Swansea in the Capital One Cup in September after spending a year out with a serious knee cartilage injury but he felt discomfort in the warm-up and has now been ruled out until 2015 at the earliest.The former Wigan man has been offered the chance to return to La Liga side Levante where he enjoyed a successful 2011-12 season.But the Merseyside club has politely declined the offer as manager Roberto Martinez, who made Kone his first signing when he joined the Toffees in 2013, said: “I expect him to be fully fit by January and by that I mean match fit.“He is going to be involved in 11-a-sides behind closed doors this week to build him up again and he will be fully fit in January.“I’ve seen some players with it recover earlier and others take a lot longer to get back. But everyone does come back.”last_img
